fair questions.

The things people ask before their first parcel. If yours isn’t here, the desk answers email within one working day.

01 How is my gold priced?

Weight × fine-gold content × the day’s rate. The rate is set each morning against the London fix and our refinery terms. Your quote is fixed at assay and holds for 30 days — if spot falls, your figure doesn’t.

02 Is the post really safe?

We send a prepaid Royal Mail Special Delivery pack, insured to £15,000 per parcel and tracked door to door. Larger consignments travel by insured courier arranged by the trade desk.

03 How fast is payment?

Parcels are assayed the morning they arrive. Accept the offer by midday and payment leaves by bank transfer the same day — most clients are paid within 48 hours of posting.

04 What if I decline the offer?

Your items are returned exactly as received — free, insured and tracked. The offer stays open for 30 days in case you change your mind. No fees either way.

05 My gold has no hallmark. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Every parcel is XRF-assayed on arrival regardless of marks, so unhallmarked, imported and antique pieces are priced on what they actually contain rather than what is stamped on them.

06 Do you buy silver, platinum or palladium?

Yes — the same desks handle all four precious metals at the same all-in terms. Mixed parcels are sorted, assayed and itemised separately on one settlement sheet.

07 How does the exchange counter work?

You send old gold exactly as if selling. The assay establishes your fine weight; minus the exchange margin set out in our terms (currently a flat 8%), the balance is credited to your account in grams of fine gold. You spend it on LBMA-refinery bars priced in grams, and any difference settles in cash either direction. Compare that with selling to a jeweller at 80–90% and buying bars back at 105%+.

08 Can I buy bullion without exchanging anything?

Yes — the buy counter sells coins and bars outright at the listed premiums. Insured shipping or collection by appointment. While checkout is being built, orders are taken by phone and email and priced live at order.

09 Are your coins CGT-free?

Sovereigns and Britannias are UK legal tender, so gains are capital-gains-tax-free for UK residents. Krugerrands and bars are not. Each product page says which.
